Our Mission:
To
provide a safe and cooperative format to address systemic challenges and
barriers raised by youth, families and the community that impact the
efficacy of the children’s services delivery system in Pinellas County.
Program Description:
The Child Welfare Advocacy
office’s primary focus is on collecting, analyzing, and providing
information; monitoring system performance, and making recommendations
that improve the safety, permanence, and well-being of children and
families served through the child welfare system.
Key responsibilities of
the office include:

Responding to
concerns raised by families, youth, and the community
regarding child service systems.

Providing
education, information, and referral services with the goal of
improving services to children and families.

Impartially
reporting findings and recommending solutions to
appropriate stakeholders.

Collecting,
analyzing, and providing information that improve the safety,
permanence, and well-being of children throughout the
county.
