In January, a team comprised of JWB staff members began work on a comprehensive evaluation process to review the strategic alignment of programs classified under the Board’s three strategic areas of focus and those existing in a category referred to as the “safety net.”  The three strategic areas of focus include:

  1. Ending Child Maltreatment

  2. Ensuring School Readiness

  3. Ensuring School Success

With this framework in mind, the team worked together towards the common purpose of guiding the way to better outcomes for children and families in Pinellas County while attempting to maximize available community resources.

The Team endeavored to:

  • Identify and classify current JWB programming which fits within one, two, three or none of the current Strategic Areas of Focus

  • Define the community need of each Strategic Areas of Focus

  • Provide funding recommendations to Senior Management and the JWB Board, utilizing a detailed set of criteria

The information on this page will be updated regularly by the JWB Strategic Alignment Team.
