Carlton Manor - Therapeutic Group Home

* Some MO Analysis yet to be completed.

Carlton Manor's Therapeutic Group Home provides residential placement for children with intensive mental health needs.  The mission is to maintain the children in their family, home and community environment and to reduce the need for more costly long-term mental health hospitalization, juvenile justice commitment and long-term residential care.

Therapeutic Group Home provides a 24-hour residential care behavior modification program five days per week.  Children are seen daily and go home for the weekends.  Their family members are seen at least once per week.  For children in the custody of the state, weekend care is provided until an appropriate foster family is identified.

Services include individual and family assessments; children's mental health case management; individual, family and group therapy; parent training; psychiatric consultation; family support system development and social, educational and recreational programming.

Home visits assess the family environment and are provided for families unable to come to the office.  Graduation occurs after the child completes his treatment plan goals.  The program office and two residential group homes are located in St. Petersburg.  The group home capacity is eighteen beds (nine per home).  The capacity for family therapy is thirty-six.  The average length of service is one year.
