Training Initiatives for Staff on the Frontlines of Human Services
The Juvenile Welfare Board's Training Department is excited to announce the implementation of a new system of training for those serving on the frontlines of human services. Coming in 2011, frontline workers will be able to participate in classes based on similiar job titles and job responsibilities. Frontline workers will be placed into cohorts of learning that will involve in depth classroom training and webinars, to be partnered with an on-line community for networking, sharing of information, and peer to peer support. Staff will get the opportunity to receive current information based on best practices in the field from experts from around the state and country. This new system will ultimately open a door for silos to be torn down and the door of communication and sharing of resources to be open. Cohorts will be created based on the following job responsibilities:
Case Management
Youth Development
Family Support Worker for Neighborhood Family Centers
Residential
Clinician
Please check back for more information in early 2011.
