Coordinated Child Care - Childcare Quality Improvement
The mission of the Child Care Quality Improvement Initiative is to improve the overall quality of early childcare in Pinellas County by increasing the formal education and professionalism of early child care teachers in Pinellas County. The program will provide tuition assistance and various types of stipends designed to help preschool teachers achieve an A.S./A.A. degree, and/or to assist child care providers in retaining teachers who have already attained their A.S./A.A. degree. The program targets teachers in preschool sites that serve high numbers of low income families and that are participants in CCC’s Quality Counts program. This program supports JWB’s Strategic Plan goal of enhancing the school readiness skills of children ages 0-5.
