Community Councils

In 1994, JWB established three Community Councils.  The Councils are three geographically-based committees (Mid, North, and South) developed to maximize consumer participation in identifying community strengths and needs, and developing potential solutions consistent with the strategic plan that will improve the quality of life for children and families in their respective geographical area. The members aid the JWB Board to keep in touch with the needs, strengths, and trends of
the communities.

The membership of the Councils seeks to represent the diversity of Pinellas County including youth participation. Members are comprised of their region’s community, business, education, and governmental organizations.  Membership categories include At-Large, Business, Civic, Community, Education, Faith-Based, and Government.
