Jose Chinchilla, Database Administrator/Network Support Technician
Jose Chinchilla joined JWB in 2008 as Database Administrator and Network Support Techinician. He also holds the statewide SAMIS Collaborative Database Administrator position. He began his career in Information Technology while in high school working as a part-time support technician for an internet service provider. Jose earned his Computer Information Systems (CIS) bachelor's degree and has completed certification courses and self-study of technologies in Web and Graphic Design, Cisco Networking Technology, Sybase Development and Administration, Microsoft Windows Desktop and Server Support Administration, Virtualization, Citrix, SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 Administration and Business Intelligence Development and Maintenance. Prior to joining JWB, Jose served as IT and Operations Manager for a private international financial company with more than 16 branches and operations throughout seven states. Jose has also served in other management and technical positions in companies like Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL) and TACA International Airlines.
His professional interests include Virtualization technologies, Cloud Computing, Business Intelligence & Data Mining, Database design, modeling & performance tuning. He enjoys soccer, basketball, table tennis, biking, camping and other outdoor activities with his wife and two daughters.
Jose has a personal commitment to improve the life of children and families in our community by executing his job duties with quality and pride and by contributing outside his duties to JWB’s mission and goals.
