The goal of the Out of School Time (OST) initiative is for 9 – 14 year old youth to be actively engaged in quality out of school time programs that offer a variety of stimulating activities that promote school success and well being in a safe environment. Standard program includes: Year round OST program services offer the following: a healthy and safe environment; age appropriate education and resiliency building programs; study time; and the programs must occur 3-5 days per week for 2-3 hours per day. Overlay enrichment activities include additional resources for OST programs to sustain participation, promote school success and other outcomes. Arts; music; spoken; wellness and diversity, academics and recreation represent a few examples.
