SAMIS

SAMIS stands for Services and Activities Management Information System, and is a web-based data collection and reporting system that will increase the efficiency of the information exchange between JWB and the funded Agencies. The application has been used since 1999 and is approved under the Statement on Auditing Standards (SAS) No. 70, a widely recognized standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). The application includes both Fiscal and Program modules.

The Fiscal side of SAMIS includes the modules that provide all the fiscal functions necessary for the financing of specific programs such as:

  • Program Funders
  • Position Management
  • Budgeting
  • Budget Amendments
  • Reimbursements

The Program side and its supporting modules allows the tracking of participant demographic information, referrals, specific services and activities, measurable objectives, waiting time for program services, and units of service. They also provide the user with valuable tools to ensure data entry is being performed, to maintain data integrity, and provide the ability to analyze the data, Other modules track distinct group events, record volunteer participation, provide for greater program-level data entry customization, and allow extensive reporting in SAMIS.
