Coordinated Child Care - Special Services
The mission of the Special Services program is to promote the healthy development of children and families, as well as high quality childcare, through the delivery of prevention and early intervention services to eligible children, their parents and their childcare providers. The target population is children ages 0-6. Special Children’s Services' two primary goals are to eliminate negative behaviors that interfere with the child’s development and placement, and to provide specialized services training and placement for preschool children who were prenatally exposed to drugs and/or alcohol. The program activities include observation; screening; assessment; development of behavior plans; technical assistance tracking the child’s developmental progress; and specialized training and placements.
