DESCRIPTION:The 2018 Annual Child Abuse Prevention Conference: Taking the Blinders Off  is all about becoming more aware and coming together as a community to help prevent child abuse and neglect. \nBlinders are coverings placed on the eyes which prevent one from seeing anything that isn’t straight ahead and from being scared by things that can’t be seen. If you are wearing blinders\, you have a very narrow view of things\, are unaware of what is happening around you\, and can end up making uninformed decisions. This year’s conference will assist you in Taking the Blinders Off by giving you the resources and tools needed in order to make enlightened decisions. \nThe Abuse\, Neglect\, Dependency\, and Prevention (AND) Committee has over 25 years of history devoted to the prevention of child abuse and neglect\, the promotion of awareness of abuse and neglect issues\, and the presentation of a quality\, affordable annual conference targeting professionals working with children at risk and victims of abuse or neglect. \nWHEN: \nThursday\, April 19\, 2018\n8:30 AM – 4:00 PM \nWHERE: \nThe Conmy Center\nOur Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church\n750A San Salvador Drive\nDunedin\, FL 34698\n727-738-6159 \nREGISTRATION: \nPre-Registration is $25 by 4/12/18\nLate Registration is $30\n\nRegistration includes continental breakfast and boxed lunch.
