A community engagement event focused on bringing a voice to current issues young people are experiencing that may contribute to mental health conditions including suicidal ideation. Discussions will center around three themes: self-identity and esteem; social media impact; and coping skills.  This event is intended for young people ages 10 years and older, parents and guardians, educators, college students, and community partners with an interest in strengthening the resiliency of our youth.

Johnny Crowder, Founder and CEO of Cope Notes, will share his personal story about overcoming adverse childhood experiences, surviving suicide, and his passion for helping others. This event is brought to you in part by the Zero Suicide Partners of Pinellas; University of South Florida – College of Public Health, Harrell Center for Family Violence; and key sponsor, the Juvenile Welfare Board (JWB) on behalf of the Children’s Mental Health Initiative.
