Early Readers Make Future Leaders

Children who struggle to read on grade level face significant and long-term consequences. If left unchecked, the gap widens, leading to school dropout and repeating the cycle of generational poverty. The Early Readers, Future Leaders: Pinellas Campaign for Grade-Level Reading was created to reverse this trend, and is focused on five core factors associated with third-grade reading proficiency: School Readiness, School Attendance, Summer Learning, Parent and Family Engagement, and Healthy Readers. Our effort has been endorsed by the National Campaign for Grade-Level Reading, and we are part of the Florida Grade-Level Reading Campaign. JWB is also proud to partner with Lectio, a Harvard evidence-based approach designed to improve reading outcomes and raise literacy rates for children.
