Had fewer than one disciplinary action in school
We know that children thrive when they are in situations challenging enough to develop resiliency, and that there are times of transition when additional supports may be needed. Out-of-school time programs supplement learning and contribute to a child’s social and emotional development, plus parent education and support services help ensure children are successful in school, and beyond.
Early Readers Make Future Leaders
Did you know that third-grade reading proficiency is an important marker for high school graduation and future success? That’s why JWB and our partners joined forces collectively to launch Early Readers, Future Leaders: Pinellas Campaign for Grade-Level Reading, which is part of the National Campaign for Grade-Level Reading.
Power Of A Caring Adult
Children who have mentors are more apt to perform well in school, graduate, and have success in life. JWB supports mentoring programs and initiatives so that all children have the opportunity to be mentored by a caring adult. In fact, many of our staff take part in a weekly Lunch Pals mentoring program.
